Though I’ve been with endless number of guy friends in my life, who were so outgoing, so open-minded; that we shared liquor from the same bottle, puffed the same fag; shared beds and yet the feeling of creepiness didn’t bother as much. So why is it that they went nuts when their girlfriend / wife did the same? Even she was a girl just like me, so why are the rules different for her?
The men are such dual-faceted creatures – they would hate if half-an inch of cleavage is showing out of her not-so plunging neckline; but would complain about their friend’s boyfriend not allowing her drinks with them. Such bunch of hypocrites!!!
The psyche that guys hold behind this I couldn’t understand. What’s wrong in letting your girl be herself. If she wants to fag, booze, or just hang out with ‘her’ friends; what’s the harm? I mean, if you can have a boy’s night out wherein, you call the most happening strippers in town; why can’t she have a night out with her friends, friends of both the sexes and freak out!
You fell in love with her when she was at her worst – drinking, smoking, and almost falling on you; so why do you expect her to be the ‘perfect’ homely material now. Would you be fine if your freedom was curbed in similar proportions? Would it be satisfactory being answerable to someone every night? Would it be in the best of your spirits if she turned out to be ‘the hypocrite’ in the relationship?
Think again… and let her have a life!!!
